Travel and Accommodation Info
We're delighted you'll be joining us in Hanover in February 2026! This page contains everything you need to know about planning your trip, including travel options, hotel recommendations, visa requirements, and details about our reimbursement process.

Visa
You might need a visa to enter Germany. These processes can take multiple months or more. Please contact your local embassy early to find out which guidelines apply to you and which documents you need. We will be more than happy to assist you with the visa process, e.g. if you require documents from our side. This website might help to provide some general information about the visa application process.
Travel to Hanover
The in-person part of this workshop will take place in Hanover, Germany.
By train: If you are based in Europe, we recommend you to travel by train. There are regular ICE connections to Hannover Hauptbahnhof.
By plane: Hannover Airport (HAJ) is the city's main airport, located approximately 11 km north of the city center. The airport offers good connections within Europe and to some international destinations. For long-distance international travel, it might make sense to fly to an international airport like Frankfurt (FRA) or Berlin (BER), and then take a train to Hannover Hauptbahnhof.
Workshop Venue
The in-person meeting will take place in the newly constructed philosophy department building in Hannover (see here for more Info, and 📍 here for the location ). By all looks, this should be a lovely and modern venue for our planned activities, and to hang around! It is directly next to the University's main building "Welfenschloss" as well as a large park area. There are many restaurants around, as well as a more affordable mensa. It is easily accessible by public transport, and even by foot from the hotel.
More details on the venue will follow later.
