Travel and Accommodation Info
We're delighted you'll be joining us in Hanover in February 2026! This page contains everything you need to know about planning your trip, including travel options, hotel recommendations, visa requirements, and details about our reimbursement process.

Visa
You might need a visa to enter Germany. These processes can take multiple months or more.
Please contact your local embassy early to find out which guidelines apply to you and which documents you need.
We will be more than happy to assist you with the visa process, e.g. if you require documents from our side.
This website might help to provide some general information on VISAs in Germany.
Travel
The in-person part of this workshop will take place in Hanover, Germany.
By train: If you are based in Europe, we recommend you to travel by train. There are regular ICE connections to Hannover Hauptbahnhof.
By plane: Hannover Airport (HAJ) is the city's main airport, located approximately 11 km north of the city center. The airport offers good connections within Europe and to some international destinations. For long-distance international travel, it might make sense to fly to an international airport like Frankfurt (FRA) or Berlin (BER), and then take a train to Hannover Hauptbahnhof.
We will provide you with detailed information about the workshop venue and how to reach it from within Hanover closer to the workshop date.
Accommodation
We are in the process of negotiating a deal with a hotel in Hannover for reduced prices (it's usually this one, but may be subject to change). More updates will follow soon.
If you would prefer to stay somewhere else you can of course do so.
Reimbursement
If you have indicated a need for funding, we will reimburse you after the workshop. In consideration to your indicated needs for funding as well as our total funding available, we will let you know in advance via email the approximate amount of reimbursment you can expect.
For a smooth reimbursment process, please send us your bank connection, including
- your full name (exactly as it appears on their bank account) and

If you hold a non-SEPA bank account, please also include

If you require the funds before the workshop, please contact us.
